I saw this on another artist's blog. I found it to be very interesting. I am a face painter and this was a discussion that came up often..my thing is , if I paint a tiger and you copy my tiger on someone else's face, it is NOT going to come out the same.

ReplyDeleteThis blogger made some good points, I don't obsess about being copied. Long ago I was doing product illustration for newspapers, mostly line art. Once I saw a published drawing that I knew was traced from one of mine, and crudely at that! I felt a little sick for a short while, then felt sorry for whoever it was, because he/she couldn't even steal an image with any degree of skill!
